Our Junior A team are calling on your support. All roads lead to Cals Park on Sunday afternoon, when Newport take on Premier side, Prospect Priory, in round 4 of the FAI Junior Cup. Kick-off 2pm. The last 64, out of town stage of the competition awaits the winners with an away trip to Desmond League side, Carrig Celtic, the prize on offer. Prospect currently lie in the bottom half of the Premier League and Newport, who are in good form, won’t be daunted at the challenge that lies ahead but will know that they will have to put in a 100% performance to have any chance of taking a big Premier scalp. We are calling on a big Newport crowd to make the short trip into Cals Park on Hyde Road to get behind the lads as Prospect are sure to have a large home support at the game.
