Whilst the past week has been a very disheartening one for Irish football & local League of Ireland football, we urge all our players, coaches, sponsors, supporters and their families to continue supporting Newport Town AFC, your local grassroots club. We are running this club for our community to the very best of our abilities in an open and transparent manner. The committee do not own this club. It is owned by our players, coaches and the countless people who help out, all in a completely voluntary and unpaid capacity. We love football and we only want what’s best for Newport Town AFC. Let's continue to embrace and nurture football in our town and surrounding areas and give our club the support it deserves. As we enter our 50th anniversary year in 2020, the club now needs your support more than ever. We’d also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very peaceful Christmas and a happy New Year.
